Race Rules

Article 1 – Organizer

The “30. Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour 2017” is organized by T.RF Thüringer Sportmarketing GmbH, Greifswalder Str. 24, 99085 Erfurt, info@lottothueringen-ladies-tour.de, Telefon +49 361 5519 7687, Fax +49 361 5519 7689 in accordance to the valid regulations of the International Cycling Union. The tour will be disputed between July 12th and July 18th, 2017.

Article 2 – Type of event

The event ist open to athletes of the category „Elite Women“ and is listed in category 2.1 of UCI Women calendar. For UCI ranking the points will be awarded according to chapter X, §2 of the UCI-rules “Road Races”.

Article 3 – Participation

The event is open for UCI Women Teams, nationalteams, regional- and clubteams. The team must be consist of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 riders. All foreign regional- and clubteams have to present a permission to start of their federation.

Article 4 – Race Headquarter/Permanence/Team presentation

The Race Headquarter will be open on 12.07.2017 from 13.00 to 15.00 h and placed at Rathaus/ Stadtverwaltung Gera, Kornmarkt 12, 07545 Gera.  The presentation of licences and the confirmation of starters will take place at race headquarter from 14.00 to 15.00 h. The team managers meeting is scheduled for 12.07.2017 at 16.00h at Rathaus/ Stadtverwaltung Gera, Kornmarkt 12, 07545 Gera. The meeting of commissaires will be held at 15.15 h. The presentation of all team takes place at Markt, 07545 Gera at 16:30.

Article 5 – Radio Tour

Radio Tour will be broadcasted on frequency 148.330 MHz. Receivers will be available at Römers Geluidstechniek.

Article 6 – Neutral Service Cars

The organizer will provide three neutral service cars.

Article 7 – Time bonuses

The following time bonuses will be awarded:
Finish – 10, 6 and 4 seconds
Intermediate sprints – 3, 2 and 1 seconds
No time bonuses will be awarded for the time trial.

Article 8 – Time limits

The time limit will be fixe as followed:
Prologue – none
Stage 1, 2, 3 and 5, 6 – 20 %
Stage 4 (time trial) – 35 %
The time limits may be changed in urgent cases by the panel of commissaires after consultation of the organiser.

Article 9 – Classifications

1.General classification by time

The leading rider in the general classification by time will be awarded the yellow jersey of LOTTO Thüringen. In the case of a draw the classification will be established in accordance to art. 2.6.015 of UCI regulations.

2. Sprint classification

The leading rider in the sprint classification will be awarded the jersey of WNT. The points awarded at the intermediate sprints (3, 2 and 1) and at the finish (5, 4, 3, 2 and 1) will be calculated. In the case of a draw the classification will be established in accordance of art. 2.6.017 of the UCI regulations.

3. Mountain classification

The leading rider in the mountain classification will be awarded the yellow-black jersey of OPEL. Points will be awarded in the following categories:
category 1      7, 5, 3 and 2 pts.
category 2      5, 3 and 2 pts.
category 3      3, 2 and 1 pts.
In the case of a draw the classification will be established in accordance of art. 2.6.017 of the UCI regulations.

4.Best youth classification

The best placed rider in the general classification by time born 1995 or later will be awarded the jersey of Sparkasse.

5.Most active rider classification

The most active rider after the stage will be awarded the jersey of SAALFELDER-BRAUEREI. The jury decides in accordance to the activities during the stage.

6.Best German rider

The best placed German rider after each stage will be awarded the jersey of IKK classic.

7.Team classification

The riders with the three best times will be registered for the team classification daily. In the case of a draw for the general team classification the classification will be established in accordance of art. 2.6.016 of the UCI regulations.

8.Priority of classification

a) General classification by time
b) Sprint classification
c) Mountain classification
d) Under 23 classification
e) Most active rider classification
f) Best German rider classification

9.Prime for best club team rider

Gotha Adelt will award a special prime for the best rider of the club teams (riders not belonging to a UCI Womens Team or holding a licence as professional). For the best placed rider in the daily classification fulfilling the requirements will be awarded a jersey. The jersey is only presented at the winners ceremony and will not be worn the next stage.

Articel 10 – Prizes

 The prizes and primes of foreign riders will be reduced in accordance to German taxation law. They will receive a receipt for their tax authority.

Article 11 – Antidoping tests

The antidoping tests will be carried out in accordance to the current UCI antidoping regulations and the German law at following places:

Prologue
1st stage
2nd stage
3th stage
4th stage
5th stage
6th stage

Article 12 – Ceremony and press conference

The following riders have to be present for the ceremony no later than 10 minutes after the arrival:

  • The first three placed riders of the stage;
  • The best club team rider of the stage;
  • All wearer of leading jerseys.

For the final ceremony after the last stage the following riders have to be present:

  • The three best placed riders of the last stage;
  • The best club team rider of the last stage;
  • The most active rider of the last stage;
  • The best German rider of the last stage;
  • The three best placed riders of the GC by time;
  • The winner of the sprint-, mountain-, under23 classification

Riders not present for the ceremony will be punished in accordance to the current UCI scale of penalities.

The riders who have to take part in the press conference after each stage will be informed by the race direction.

Article 13 – Penalities

The UCI scale of penalities is the only one applicable.

Article 14 – Time trial

The starting order will be in accordance to the inverse order of the general classification by time. The interval will be 1 minute. The last 10 riders will start with an interval of 2 minutes. The riders have to use the right side of the road.

Articel 14a – Prologue

The starting order of teams for the prologue will be fixed by the organization. The team managers determine the starting order of their riders. The interval between the starters will be 1 minute. The riders have to use the right side of the road. As a rider is not able to finish the prologue due to a race incident she will be placed with the time of the last rider in the general classification by time.

During the prologue the leading jerseys will be awarded as follows:

General classification by time – winner of prologue

Sprint – 2nd place of prologue

Mountain – 3rd place of prologue

Active – 4th place

Best German – best German rider of the prologue

U23 – best U23 rider of the prologue

Article 15 – Primes

The primes will be indicated in the communique. There ist no general classification for the primes.

Article 16 – Environment protection

Washing vehicles or bikes with cold cleaner is prohibited in Germany.

We ask all teams not to throw bottles and waste along the route. Use the waste bins, yellow tons (plastic) and blue tons (paper).

Article 17 – Police

The security of the convoi will be ensured by the police of Thüringen. Please, respect the orders of the police at all times and ensure also the free passage of the police motorbikes. It´s for your own security!
